She called everybody darling.
Taught us how to make fresh dumplings,
press the corners into dimples;
sent us home with Falun Gong DVDs
in our back pockets;
named me “the little black girl”.

By age 50 she could hardly see,
but kept pressing leaflets into hands,
on Glasgow’s cobbled streets,
telling anybody who would stop,
how her own government
harvested organs from its own people.
